For Danny Brabac's class in junior year we made science fair projects and responded to our question for a testable experiment. One piece I am proud of from physics is my science fair project related to it.
Questions: How does heart rate change with exercise?
Hypothesis: The exercises would affect people’s heart rate, but if they are most likely to have very low difficult, it wouldn’t
Research: Your heart starts beating, when you are in your mom's stomach and keeps on going till you are no longer alive. Your heart is beating because it’s keeping your blood circulated. A average person would beat 2.5 billion times or more within a lifetime. Keeping yourself in a healthy shape and having a healthy heart means eating right, not smoking and getting exercising. Exercises would help with your heart should elevate your heart rate. Heart rate is a measure of how many times a person's heart beats in a minute and measured in beats per minute (bpm). To know how many times a heart should be elevated all depends on how fit they are and their maximum heart rate. The amount of (bpm) should have is 220 (bpm) minus your age. The recommendation that doctors would give if you do exercises is that increase your heart rate to 50%-85% of your maximum heart rate=target heart rate zone. Doctors would also recommend everyone to be getting at least about 150 minutes a week of moderate good exercises. But in this experiment we will not be measuring your bpm, but bps from a quick/short routine. From this I mean you can be doing cardiovascular exercises but it involves the use of strong muscles built, activating muscle fibers can be done by resistance exercises. It would be utilizing a heart rate from 40%-85% of your maximum heart rate. This would increase a higher chance of getting a heart attack, if you weren’t paying attention to your bpm. Being able to do cardiovascular exercises would increase the number of new blood vessels and resistance training increases the size of those blood vessels. Cardiovascular exercises can also produce stress if you are over-training or not eating right. This eventually makes people quit doing exercising in general. People that are overtraining, should only do it if they are not stressed out because it would just cause more stress upon them. Always think of your goals, lower your exercises if needed and work to reduce your stress levels so you can always keep your heart pumping. Exercising naturally would lower the blood pressure, stress and dietary approach to be normal most likely.
Objective: To keep yourself in healthy shape and that you always measure the different type of exercises that affect your heart rate. Also, to understand what is body control and knowing, which exercise you might need to work more on.

From Molly Fenn's class senior year I decided to pick a essay written about a philosophy. I chose this work, because it represents what I try to do at anywhere.

What can been done in solitude?
Developing as a human-being requires the growth of mistakes or challenges to dramatically shape us as a better person. Today maturity plays a huge role in the growth of the human mind and the digestion of information. Solitude becomes easier to perform if you just accept the fact that weaknesses can be improved with the union of the mind and emotion. Time management and awareness will help guide us through this society by continuously preparing and training us to build up our courage. Living deliberately would enlight human beings with self-reliance and transcendentalism.
Living deliberately makes it possible to have ambition for gaining strength and perfect ourselves. Perfecting ourselves makes us become more impervious to obstacles that would stop us from achieving anything. “Who knows but if men constructed their dwellings… they are so engaged” (Thoreau, Walden 195). Greatness is achieved through the enlightenment of ourselves via experiences to show guidance to learners and emphasis the future. Others will let emotions get to them without being part of their mind. The mind itself would always want to achieve what it is passionate about and make it an endless journey. “You should groove a walking stick. I passed it again the other day and was struck with awe looking up...” (Thoreau, Walden 197). Progress is made through hard work, consistency and time results to opening your true potential/efforts. Worrying about principles can stop our dreams, creativity and nothing should be capable of stopping you unless it’s approved by you. “Why has every man a conscience then? I think that we should be men first and subjects afterwards” (Thoreau, Civil Disobedience 2). Staying neutral to undesirable actions or decisions would not show that you're favoring any side with hopes. Follow the dreams that drives out the challenges in our lives to limitlessly use for growth and energy to fuel your rise to the top.
Self-reliance involves giving up materialistic ideologies to experience it thoroughly and becoming more “self-reliant”. Each individual needs to avoid conformity, because your own instincts could excel you further. Not taking offers to avoid and understand how it feels to not take shortcuts is a huge accomplishment with results shaping you as a person. “He even offered to drive Alex all the way… Alex replied. I’ll be fine with what I’ve got” (Krakauer, Death of Innocence 1). Alex was fine walking outside, because he can always find others going to the same location with a vehicle. Training to endure and turning it to positivity later is what got him this far in his journey, without relying too much on things or people in the future. Everyone relies on money to buy everything for results and accomplishments to be done. McCandless had a choice to start his career after college with the money he had in his bank. “Instead, he donated the entire sum to the Oxford… a life he felt was removed from the heat and throb of the real world” (Krakauer, Death of Innocence 4). McCandless's journey was misunderstood by the general public, the true purpose of his journey was to travel the world and live deliberately away from society's norms.Without following the society ideals it made him realize it is unavoidable with the risks and what he truly wanted was happiness with others. The life without the things you love is not painful, but makes you live in a different lifestyle that could never be redeemed. Rather than bringing more food or tools for survival, McCandless bring what he truly cherishes to do with his free time. “Heaviest item in McCandless’s half full backpack was his library” (Krakauer, Death of Innocence 11). After hiking for miles, working, exercising, wandering around, talking to yourself or others it would be productive to read more to understand ideas to motivate yourself to never give up. When the time came where he understood the book itself and applied it outside thoroughly, he decided to bury it at a hidden area for adventurers to discover about the guidance that led the person to arrive there before them.
To enlighten everything transcendentalism is needed to overcome obstacles that will always attempt to ruin your spirit. Humanities strength to overcome endurance is unbelievable, but do we achieve it. “The mass of men serve the state, thus not as men mainly, but as machines with bodies” (Thoreau, Civil Disobedience 3). Getting consumed by the same thing, such as money does not create a better learnable environment and limits the highest possibilities for happiness. Everyday we make attempts at doing things even if it is our greatest fear. “Think about all the evil in world… running our best” (Krakauer, Death of Innocence 4). Life is not meant to always go our way, encouragement to get out of the negativity pressure shows that we can make anything happen. Bettering ourselves need dedication for our mindset. “He always had to know the absolute right answer before he could go on to the next thing” (Krakauer, Death of Innocence 4). Ignorance or concentration humbles upon greater expectations to overcome the weakness and improve every time.
Growing in solitude has shaped many people like McCandless and Thoreau to find importance and become an independent person. With the efforts shown, people would notice and see that you represent something greater than the original. By choosing to live without distractions necessary in the general population, people will view you as a unique person. Creating a better you with the courage to step up upon the fear, dangers or hatred makes you gain hope to strengthen your emotions and mind to become more peaceful. Results show that you don’t have to deal with people, but conquer yourself to exceed at anything. To always remain as someone inspirational is better than being visible, letting your work speaking for itself. Haters will project the negativity to stop you and the people following you who would show care for your existence by fighting in the same way. Make a commitment to your own personal goals and dreams.
